Located on 112 acres on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, Hundred Acre Wood consists of three, five to seven acre pastures, all with large run-in sheds and fenced in four rail oak boards. Three separate residences on property, three ponds, and miles of back roads for long treks on horseback.
There are 16 matted, 12'x14' box stalls. Students have the luxury of year-round riding in the indoor arena. The indoor footing is the highest quality sand and shredded rubber.
Dust is kept down by an automatic watering system. A large outdoor ring has all-weather footing, jumps, and a full sized dressage ring. Circling the entire property is a logging trail for relaxing and recreational hacking out.
Lay-ups welcome. We coordinate and implement programs from the owner and/or vet of owner's choice. Holistic Equine Therapy services also offered - multiple approaches and modalities used, including but not limited to bio-energetic balancing, myofascial release, reiki, cranial-sacral therapy, et al. Charish has 11 years experience in Equine Holistic Nutrition, this is especially helpful for non-healing injuries or chronic "ADR" (he Ain't Doin' Right") to help horses regain their vitality and vigor in training and competition. Campbell's approach is to strengthen the horse's constitution by gently detoxing the horse from additives, and any other toxins present in the system, then to alkalize and re-mineralize the body and its tissues with immune-bolstering all natural supplements - amino acid chelated minerals and organic-sourced vitamins.
Campbell offers short term intensive programs for visiting riders (on their own horses or on hers) who are welcome to stay at Hundred Acre Wood in the rental house that includes three bedrooms and two baths.
