Callie is a
Shetland/Welsh small pony. Born 1994
Perfect for a young
rider who doesn't mind a quick mover. Very rideable, just quick.
Jumps, trail rides, has done parades and pony rides, speed
shows, Gymkhana, and more under her former owner. Callie is
sound, barefoot, the easiest keeper and current on everything.
Charish and
Larry bought her for their young son, Colt, as a Christmas
present, but he really hasn't taken to horses much, he is still
very afraid of them.
Charish
bought her from her former owners with the intention of using
her for lessons, and pony rides and "pony parlor" for Colt.
With the slump in the economy, the demand for teaching has
diminished, and the beginner instructor, Jen, has 4 of her own
very safe, very experienced beginner mounts to teach off of.
Callie is simply not needed at CSH,
and she deserves to have a little person all her own to dote on
her.
Callie's former
owner asks to stay in touch, and to be notified if she is again
for sale.
(NOTE: 15 yo
for a small pony is "middle aged". Emily's retired medium pony,
Wonder, is 35 years old and was not retired until last year.
Ponies seem to live forever.)
